Could a prompt do it?
Working formulas with examples and an explanation you can reuse.

Consider cancelling if…
You still mainly use it for formula generation and explanations rather than its broader analytics features.
Keep the app when…
Keep Better Analyst if you use connected data, automated dashboards or scheduled workflows. A formula prompt only covers a small part of the product.
Try the prompt on a real task first. A free plan may be enough. Confirm your renewal date and save anything you need before changing your plan.

Help me solve this spreadsheet problem in [Excel/Google Sheets and version]. Locale: [country; formula separator if known]. Goal: [describe]. Column meanings and sample rows: [paste anonymized examples]. Expected output: [examples]. Check for missing context that changes the formula. Then give me the exact formula, the cell to enter it in and how to fill it down. Explain how it works in plain language. Account for blank cells, errors, text-versus-number values and date formats where relevant. Avoid volatile functions unless necessary. Walk through at least three supplied examples, including an edge case. If code or spreadsheet execution is available, verify the result; otherwise clearly label it as not executed. Offer a simpler alternative if my version does not support the functions used. Never claim you edited the workbook unless you actually did.
What the estimate covers.
One formula explanation with example rows. Assumes 1,000 input tokens and 500–1,000 output tokens. Follow-up turns, reasoning and tools can increase the cost.
Monthly savings use 20 independent first responses. Chat app subscription fees are separate from API token charges.
