Could a prompt do it?

A usable procedure and checklist from messy working notes.

01 / THE DECISION

Before you unsubscribe.

Consider cancelling if…

You only need written procedures from notes and are willing to document the steps yourself.

Keep the app when…

Keep Scribe if automatic screen capture, illustrated guides and on-screen walkthroughs are the reason you pay. This prompt does not capture your workflow.

Try the prompt on a real task first. A free plan may be enough. Confirm your renewal date and save anything you need before changing your plan.

CHECK THIS

Have the person doing the work walk through the checklist.

Choosing an assistant: GPT-6.1 Sol / Claude Sonnet 5.5 — value starting points. Claude Opus 5.5 — candidates for harder work. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash — budget candidates. GPT-6 Astra / Claude Fable 5.1 — specialist options. Compare a real task and the tools in your account; no guide claims equal results across models. Choices, limits and sources · Checked 30 September 2026.

Make it your own

Turn these working notes into an SOP for [process] used by [role]. The intended result is [outcome]. Use only confirmed information; mark gaps as [to confirm].

Include purpose, trigger, prerequisites, responsible roles, numbered steps, decision points, exception handling and a completion checklist. Each step should specify the action, required input and observable result. Separate current practice from your suggested improvements.

Identify dependencies, handoffs and failure points. Add a short walkthrough using the supplied example and check whether every step is executable by someone new to the role. Ask focused questions for any missing information that prevents execution. Do not invent approval authority or company policy.

What the estimate covers.

One SOP from supplied working notes. Assumes 2,500 input tokens and 1,500–2,500 output tokens. Follow-up turns, reasoning and tools can increase the cost.

Monthly savings use 20 independent first responses. Chat app subscription fees are separate from API token charges.
